JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for Jakarta today after attending a series of activities for the 79th Indonesian Independence Day in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.
The Press, Media and Information Bureau (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat informed President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana to return to Jakarta at around 13.30 WITA.
The Head of State and his entourage took off using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft through Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan City.
Jokowi's trip to Jakarta was released by the Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, Pangdam VI/Mulawarman Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, East Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto, Balikpapan Danlanal Marine Colonel (P) Edi Kuswanto, and Danlanud Dhomber Colonel Pnb David Ali Hamzah.
Previously, it was reported that President Jokowi's series of activities at IKN began by attending an honorary and holy reflection rally at Taman Kusuma Bangsa IKN, Saturday (17/8) midnight.
Furthermore, the President was present as inspector of the Commemoration Ceremony of the Seconds of the Proclamation and the ceremony to raise the Red and White Sang Saka Flag at the IKN State Palace Ceremony Field. The President closed his activities at IKN by leading the procession of lowering the Red and White flag at the State Palace of IKN.
