High Waves, SAR Team Searches For Missing Crew Members In Salira

The SAR team is being deployed to search for a crew member (ABK) from the Mooring Ship Romi Putra Mandiri. The sailors were reported missing in the Salira Waters of Serang Regency, Banten. "We hope that the victim named Hayani (35), a resident of South Sumuranja Rt.11/06, Puloampel District, Serang Regency, can be found today," said Head of the Banten Al Amrad Basarnas Office in a written statement in Serang, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 18. The accident incident of the Mooring Romi Putra Mandiri ship with three crew members occurred on Saturday (17/8) at 20:30 WIB, because in the middle of the journey the ship engine suddenly died in the middle of a strong ocean current with quite high waves. One of the victims tried to turn on the dead engine, but the ship experienced a disappearance and one person has not been found until now.

"We and the joint SAR team are searching around the waters of Salira, Serang Regency," he said.
