Wearing Palembang Traditional Clothing, Vice President Arrives At MPR Annual Session

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Wury Ma'ruf Amin arrived at the Nusantara Building, Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 16, to attend the 2024 MPR Annual Session. The vice president arrived at around 08.35 WIB wearing traditional clothes from the Palembang area, South Sumatra. Meanwhile, Wury Ma'ruf Amin wore traditional Betawi clothes, Jakarta. The vice president appeared to wear a head covering, then beskap (jas), trousers, and songket cloth worn at the waist to the knee. Meanwhile, Wury Ma'ruf Amin appeared wearing a green Betawi kebaya with the pattern of flowers combined with a green veil. Before entering the Nusantara Building, Vice President and Wury Ma'ruf Amin seemed to smile and wave at the media crew. The 2024 Annual Session was held with the theme "New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia" consisting of the Annual Session of the MPR RI, Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, and the Plenary Session of the Opening of the First Session of the DPR for the 2024-2025 Session.

In the Annual Session of the MPR RI-Sidang Bersama DPR RI and DPD RI, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will submit a report on the performance of state institutions, as well as state speeches in the context of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Furthermore, in the Plenary Session of the Opening of the First Session of the DPR for the 2024-2025 Session Year, President Jokowi will deliver a speech in the context of Government Introductory / Information on the Draft Law on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the 2025 Fiscal Year along with his Financial Note.
