Jokowi Schedule Tomorrow: Speech Of MPR Annual Sessions And Sacred Swimming Apples At IKN

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to deliver a speech at parliament in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) tomorrow, Friday, August 16. The head of state will also hold a sacred ceremony of honor and reflection (AKRS) at Taman Kusuma Bangsa, IKN.

Then in the afternoon, the President will make a speech in the context of submitting the Draft Law (RUU) on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year 2025 along with his Financial Note and Supporting Documents at the Plenary Meeting of the Opening Session Period I of the DPR RI for Session Year 2024-2025.

"At night at 00.00 WITA on August 17, 2024, the President is scheduled to carry out AKRS in Kusuma Bangsa Park, IKN," he said.

As many as 2,022 invited guests will attend the MPR RI Annual Session and the 2024 DPR-DPD Joint Session on Friday 16 August at 9.30 WIB, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.

"A approximately 2022 invitations will be attended, consisting of 1,222 invitations within the Nusantara Building and 800 invited guests placed in the Plaza Nusantara IV MPR/DPR/DPD RI area," said Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo during a press conference, Jakarta, Thursday.

Bamsoet, as he is familiarly called, explained that the format of the MPR RI Annual Session which was held in a series with the Joint Session of the DPR - DPD in 2024 was the same as in previous years.

He then detailed that the invited guests consisted of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, until Elected President Prabowo Subianto and Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Then, the former president and former vice president, former chairman of the MPR/DPR/DPD RI, leaders of state institutions, all members of the MPR RI, ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet and ministerial-level officials.
