Hasto Claims Jokowi Wants To Be The General Chair Of PDIP

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was a figure who wanted to take over his party from the hands of Megawati Soekarnoputri as chairman.

This was conveyed by Hasto when asked about the figure Megawati said in her speech on Wednesday, August 15 yesterday. He said, this name has actually been frequently conveyed on various occasions.

"I have said that in several discussions because there is a minister in Mr. Jokowi's cabinet who expressed his desire from Mr. Jokowi to occupy the position of Chairman of the PDI-P," Hasto told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 15.
