Police Investigate Cause Of Death Of Body Of Crew Member Of Tegal Resident At Haji Port, East Lombok

The police are investigating the cause of death from the discovery of a corpse of a crew member (ABK) named Kristoyo (43) who docked at the port pier of Labuhan Haji, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

"The cause of the victim's death is still under investigation, the victim was found dead in his bedroom," said Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police, Iptu Nicolas Oesman in Mataram, Tuesday, August 13, as reported by Antara.

He said the victim, a resident of Tegal, Central Java Province, was known to have died when his friend woke up. When called, the victim did not answer, it turned out that he was dead on Monday, August 12.

"After being approached, the victim was found in a stiff condition and immediately reported it to his co-workers, including the company and the police," he said.

Members who received the report, together with Inafis immediately went down to conduct a crime scene investigation and took the victim to the hospital for a post-mortem.

"The victim is estimated to have died 12 hours from being found," he said.

Regarding the death of the victim, the company and the family have communicated, and the family requested that the victim be buried in his homeland.

"The family hopes that the victim can be buried in his hometown," he said.
