Ukrainian Troops Attack Makes It Overwhelmed, Putin: Russia Will Hit The Enemy Back At The Kursk Border

JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin said the army would repulse Ukrainian troops from Russian sovereign territory after Kyiv's biggest attack crossed the border since the start of the war in 2022.

Ukrainian troops stormed the Russian border last week and occupied parts of the western part of the Kursk region in Russia.

On Sunday, Russia managed to stabilize the front line in the Kursk region, although Ukraine has taken control of parts of Russia where fighting continues on Monday, according to Russian war bloggers.

In Belgorod's neighboring region in the south, Vyache region governorslav Gladkov said the evacuation of civilians had begun in Krasnaya Yaruga District due to enemy activity at the border.

Putin, in a recent statement regarding the attack to date, said Ukraine with the help of Western countries was trying to raise its negotiating position ahead of possible ceasefire negotiations and to weaken Russia's progress.

Putin told regional security officials and governors Ukrainian troops suffered heavy casualties in their attacks.

"The enemy will definitely receive a decent response, and all the goals we face will definitely be achieved," Putin said.

Putin said Ukraine was trying to intimidate the Russian people and thus undermine stability. He warned senior Ukrainian officials would try to further disrupt the stability of border areas.

At the meeting, Kursk governor Alexei Smirnov said Ukraine controlled 22 settlements in the region, and the attack was about 12 km deep and 40 km wide.

Russia imposed strict security on Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod, while its Belarus allies said it was increasing its troop numbers at its border after Minsk said Ukraine had violated its airspace by drone.
