Investigate Corruption Of MBZ Toll Road, The Attorney General's Office Examines 2 Directors Of Jasamarga

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) is examining two witnesses in the handling of the alleged corruption case of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) Toll Road construction project. Both are directors of PT Jasamarga.

"Examining witnesses related to cases of alleged corruption in the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated (MBZ) Toll Road for the Cikunir-West Karawang section including on/off ramps at the Cikunir and West Karawang Interchanges," said Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar in his statement, Monday, August 12.

The two witnesses are ADW as President Director of PT Jasamarga for the period 2013 to 2016 and HSN who is the Director of Business Development of PT Jasamarga for the period 2015 to 2018.

Regarding the examination material, Harli did not explain further. The examination was emphasized in order to strengthen the evidence and the preparation of case files.

"The witness examination was carried out to strengthen the evidence and complete the filing in the case," said Harli.

In handling this case, the AGO is known to have named a new suspect with the initials DP who is Waskita-Acset's Operational Cooperation Authority (KSO).

DP was named a suspect because from the available evidence, he conspired with FFB as PT Bukaka's representative to reduce the volume in the basic design without a study.

After being named a suspect, DP was immediately detained at the Salemba Detention Center (Rutan) at the Attorney General's Office for 20 days.

In this case, DP is suspected of violating the provisions of Article 2 Paragraph 1 Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
