Cak Imin Reported To KPK Because He Brought His Wife When He Was A Hajj Supervisory Team

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin was reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The National Corruption Watch (NCW) suspects that the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) has abused his authority as the Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas) because he invited his wife, Rustini.

Dony Manurung, who is an NCW activist, even suspects that Cak Imin's abuse of authority will not only happen in 2024. He brought evidence in a report to the KPK.

"It turns out that not only 2024, 2022 and 2023 also brought his wife as Timwas Hajj," said Dony at the KPK building, Jakarta, Monday, August 12.

Dony said the evidence he brought to report the alleged abuse of authority was valid. "We brought some of our data, we are in the location, namely the 2022 Hajj Team, there is the 2022 LPJ Timwas Hajj, there is a 2023 LPJ draft which has not been uploaded today," he said.

"We also have proof in the form of a visa whose statement is clear that the registration evidence is that the statement is a Hajj supervisor for Hajj officers," said Dony.

Dony hopes that the evidence submitted will be sufficient to immediately summon Cak Imin. The alleged abuse of authority must be clarified.

Moreover, the money to dispatch the supervisory team comes from the state budget. "Because in this Hajj team, according to the information we got, the state financed around 23 thousand US dollars. Now, this is a lot of money and there is also potential for state losses here," he concluded.
