10 People Killed Trapped In The Contracted Plot Of The Matraman Fire, Puslabfor Investigates The Fire

JAKARTA - A fire in a rented house in Matraman, East Jakarta killed 10 people. The victims were trapped in several rented plots when the fire broke out at 04.50 WIB

"So there are 5 plots (rented). So the 10 victims (trapped) are in two contracted plots," said Kapolsek Matraman, Kompol Tedjo Asmoro to VOI, Thursday, March 25.

According to Kompol Tedjo, the rented position was at the end of a dead end alley. This position makes it difficult for residents to save themselves.

The victims who died were found in rented plots number two and three. The victim has been evacuated from the rented house on Jalan Pisangan Baru III RT 06 / RW 10, Matraman District.

"(The presence of the victim) is in squares number one and three," he said.

Regarding the cause of the fire in Matraman, the Puslabfor Polri team will intervene. Previously, the East Jakarta Damkar Sub-dept. Previously mentioned the alleged short circuit or electrical short circuit as the trigger for the Matraman fire.
