Gibran Reluctant To Respond To Polemics In Golkar Including Digital Posters Forward To Ketum

SUKOHARJO - Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka was reluctant to respond to the polemic that occurred within the Golkar Party. Met at the Konimex event in Sukoharjo, Central Java, Monday Gibran only briefly answered about the resignation of Airlangga Hartarto as General Chair of the Golkar Party. "No, no, no. This is Konimex (in place) you know," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 12. There was a digital poster circulating with a picture of Gibran as the General Chair of the Golkar Party. Related to this, he chose to remain silent. Previously, Airlangga Hartarto announced his resignation as General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party's DPP in Jakarta, last Sunday. In an official video broadcast by the Golkar Party, Airlangga explained the reason he resigned because he wanted to maintain the integrity of the Golkar Party and ensure stability during the transition of government from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to the Elected President Prabowo Subianto. "By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, as well as on the instructions of God Almighty, I hereby declare my resignation as General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP," Airlangga said in the video. Airlangga continued his resignation as general chairman of Golkar starting Saturday night.

"Furthermore, as a mature and mature party, the Golkar Party DPP will soon prepare an organizational mechanism in accordance with the provisions of the AD/ART organization in effect," Airlangga said in the same video.
