Surakarta City Government Distributes IDR 14 Billion For Revitalization Of Solo Palace

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government distributed a budget of Rp. 14 billion for the revitalization of a number of points in the Solo Palace, Central Java.

"Actually, the budget is Rp. 15.5 billion, but the proceeds from the auction are Rp. 14 billion. This is a fund from a UAE Government grant," said Head of the Human Settlements Division of the Surakarta City Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office Agus Hariyadi at the signing of the agreement between the Surakarta Palace represented by the Customary Council Institute (LDA) with the Surakarta City Government regarding the revitalization of the Gede Mosque in Surakarta and Siti Hinggil south in Solo, Central Java. reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 12.

The budget is for the construction of the Great Mosques of Surakarta and Siti Hinggil south which are starting to become damaged.

"It's like a mosque, it's because of age. There are a lot of teacher doubts that have holes because they are eaten by termites," he said.

In addition, what will also be done is repairing the bathroom and ablution places for the mosque. Furthermore, for the parking lot, it will be slightly lowered so that the mosque is more visible from the outside.

In addition, which will also be strengthened the structure of the mosque which is starting to rot. As for the southern Siti Hinggil section, the landscape will also be strengthened.

"We will install paving there," he said.

The work will be carried out after the completion of the Secretariat which is planned to take place on 23 August-22 September 2024.

"This work has a contract until December 2024," he said.

An LDA official at the Surakarta Palace GKR Wandansari Koesmortiyah or who is familiarly called Gusti Moeng gave his appreciation for the revitalization.

He also hopes that later the revitalization can also touch the Sanggabuana section in the palace area.

"Actually, Sanggabuana is an icon of Solo City and the palace. The damage is real, it is very unfortunate if it is not immediately revitalized," he said.

Therefore, he hopes that the revitalization can be carried out in stages.
