Nurul Arifin: Golkar Will Always Remember Airlangga Hartarto's Achievements And Service

JAKARTA - Airlangga Hartarto officially resigned from his position as General Chair of the Golkar Party, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Jakarta. During his leadership in the banyan party which began in 2017, Airlangga has recorded a number of significant achievements that left a deep imprint for the parties and the nation. During his term of office, Airlangga Hartarto succeeded in bringing the Golkar Party to great success in several important moments. In the 2019 election, under his leadership, Golkar played a key role in leading Joko Widodo back to the seat of President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2019-2024 period. This success was continued with victory in the 2020 Pilkada, where Golkar managed to win 165 of the 270 regions holding the Pilkada. Airlangga Hartarto and Golkar's success continued in the 2024 General Election and Presidential Election, where they successfully led presidential and vice presidential candidates, Prabow Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to victory in the 2024 Presidential Election. In the Legislative Election (Pileg), Golkar under Airlangga's leadership won 14.4 percent of the vote, increasing the number of seats in the Indonesian House of Representatives to 102 seats for the 2024-2029 period, which is equivalent to 18 percent of the total seats in the Indonesian House of Representatives. In its capacity as Coordinating Minister for the Economy of the Republic of the Republic of Indonesia, Airlangga also successfully led the country through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and introduced the Job Creation Law that revolutionized the legislation in Indonesia.
