JAKARTA - Entrepreneur Jusuf Hamka alias Babah Alun resigned as a Golkar Party cadre, following in the footsteps of Airlangga Hartarto who resigned as General Chair of the Golkar Party.Babah Alun plans to submit a letter of resignation as a Golkar cadre officially to the Golkar DPP on Monday, August 12, this afternoon. The letter will be given directly to the Secretary General of Golkar, Lodewijk F Paulus at the Golkar Party DPP Office at 10.00 WIB. "Today, Monday, at 10.00 WIB in the morning, I submitted a letter of resignation to the Golkar secretary general at the Slipi DPP," said Jusuf Hamka to reporters, Monday, August 12. Previously, Jusuf Hamka stated that he was resigning from the management of the Golkar Party to the nomination of regional heads in the 2024 Pilkada shortly after Airlangga resigned. "That's right," said Babah Alun when contacted from Jakarta, Sunday, August 11. It was revealed that his resignation had not been officially informed to the party. He will only include an official resignation letter to the Golkar Party DPP on Monday, August 12. "Yes, I will meet the Secretary General. The member of the Advisory Council of the Golkar Party said that his resignation was because he thought politics was too harsh and rude.
