JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining the Commissioner of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Susi Meyrista Tarigan (SMT) today. He was questioned about the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara which was allegedly problematic because it hit a number of rules.
"Confirmation of SMT investigators was present and investigated regarding the knowledge concerned as the board of commissioners for the business cooperation and acquisition process of PT JN," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Friday, August 9.
Tessa said that SMT's statement was needed to clarify allegations of corruption that occurred in the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). He underwent an examination at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
A source of VOI some time ago said that PT Jembatan Nusantara's acquisition process by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) was problematic. The implementation is allegedly not in accordance with the rules, causing state losses of around Rp1.27 trillion.
Reporting from a number of reports, the state-owned company purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion. PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) then controlled the company's shares complete with 53 managed vessels.
"The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," said the source, Monday, August 5.
"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.
