PKS Discourse Joins KIM Plus For The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, This Is What Kaesang Said

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep responded to the discourse of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) to join the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) plus in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. Kaesang admitted that he was communicating with PKS.

"The communication was very smooth and even now at 13.00 WIB some of our teams also communicated directly with PKS," he said, Thursday, August 8.

Kaesang considered that PKS was an open party with various options. He gave an example of his meeting with PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu some time ago was a form of good relations between PSI and PKS.

"I think this PKS party is quite open in communicating with all parties. Like PSI, it has also communicated with PKS a few weeks ago," he said.

According to him, KIM is open to any party to join. "Yes, I think as long as it is for the good of the state. The kindness of Jakarta in particular, I don't think there is a problem, everything is good," he said.

As previously reported, PKS spokesman Muhammad Kholid stated that his party was opening up opportunities to join KIM to carry Ridwan Kamil (RK) in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. This is because the deadline given to Anies Baswedan, namely August 4, 2024, has been passed without any certainty.

"Because the August 4 deadline has been passed, PKS has begun to open communication with all parties so that there is certainty that we can participate in the Jakarta gubernatorial election," said Kholid.
