Ridwan Kamil Visits Airlangga's Office House To Discuss Nominations In The Jakarta Regional Head Election

JAKARTA - Former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (RK) visited the residence of Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto on Jalan Widya Chandra, Jakarta, tonight.

This meeting is touted to discuss Ridwan Kamil's candidacy for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Ridwan Kamil arrived at the Office House of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy at around 20.00 WIB. RK seemed to walk into the gate of Airlangga's house.

RK did not comment on his presence at Airlangga's house. The IKN curator only smiled.

Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, said that his party did not immediately declare Ridwan Kamil as the governor of Jakarta.

According to him, tonight's meeting was just a gathering and discussed Ridwan Kamil's nomination in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Not yet (declared, red), Mr. General Chair has never met Ridwan Kamil after we decided on Mr. Dedi Mulyadi in West Java, which means that Ridwan Kamil's ticket has only one more time left in Jakarta. So far, we haven't met, we want to stay in touch, share information to strengthen support for Ridwan Kamil in Jakarta," said Doli at Widya Chandra, Jakarta, Thursday, August 8.

When asked if Ridwan Kamil would also meet Prabowo, Doli admitted that he did not know.

"I don't know, I'll ask Mr. RK later. Maybe there is a plan, I don't know," he said.
