6.9 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Japan Triggers Tsunami Warning

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 hit western Japan The earthquake triggered a tsunami warning.

Reported by Reuters from NHK, Thursday, August 8, tsunami warnings emerged for several areas on the islands of Kyushu and Shipoku in southwest Japan.

Meanwhile, the US Geological Agency (USGS) recorded an earthquake measuring 7.1 in Nichinan, Japan.

There has been no recent report regarding Japan's post-shocked condition.
