Palace Affirms Jokowi's Cabinet Reshuffle

JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana dismissed the issue of reshuffle or cabinet reshuffle which was recently widely discussed. According to Ari, the appointment and dismissal of ministers is the prerogative of the President. This can be used if necessary or needed," said Ari in a written statement received Thursday, August 8. He emphasized that currently President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has not planned to replace the ranks of ministers. Until now there is no plan or agenda for cabinet reshuffles like the issues circulating," he said.

Previously, the issue of the reshuffle of a number of ministers spread, including the replacement of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif.

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources will be replaced by Bahlil Lahadalia. Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) will be filled by Rosan Roeslani.
