PAN Chairman: Bobby Nasution Supported By Many Parties Because Of Popular

MEDAN - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas said Bobby Nasution was supported by the abnyak of political parties because he was popular to run as a candidate for governor of the North Sumatra gubernatorial election (North Sumatra).

"We support Bobby from the start, hopefully everything will run smoothly," said Zulhas in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 7.

Parties that support the Mayor of Medan are the Gerindra Party, the Democratic Party, the National Mandate Party, the Golkar Party, the NasDem Party, and the National Awakening Party and most recently PKS.

"Yes, if support means a lot, it means being popular, because if you are afraid to lose, you will support it," said Zulhas.

Previously, PKS officially brought the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution to run as a candidate for governor in the 2024 North Sumatra Pilkada.

PKS spokesman Ahmad Mabruri confirmed this. PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu directly gave the recommendation letter to President Joko Widodo's son-in-law.

The activity of giving the recommendation letter was carried out behind closed PKS at its head office in South Jakarta. During the activity, Bobby Nasution was received by a number of PKS DPP administrators, including Ahmad Syaikhu.

Meanwhile, Bobby Nasution has announced the recommendations in his official Instagram account. He expressed his gratitude for the provision of the recommendation letter and added that there was more support for him.

"I will fight for this responsibility and trust as well as possible, in order to advance North Sumatra Province and prosper its people," Bobby said in a photo caption on his Instagram account.
