Police Seize Hundreds Of Bullets To Assembled Guns From The Shooting Case In Bogor

The Bogor Resort Police Criminal Investigation Unit confiscated hundreds of bullets of various types of homemade firearms from the shooting case in the Klapanunggal area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro said the various pieces of evidence were obtained when the police carried out developments at the residence of suspect AZ (30) as a weapons provider.

Police confiscated 148 bullets of various caliber, six rounds of various types of bullet casings, one homemade long-barreled firearm, two short-barreled firearms made of Makarov and revolver types.

Then, one short-barreled airsoft gun, five magizins for long-barreled, six magizins for short-barreled, eight short-barreled firearms frameworks, one gerinda machine, and two drillery devices.

"Seeing the many firearms of various types of homemade, we are coordinating with Densus 88 Police Headquarters to investigate whether this home-made weapons factory has anything to do with terrorist syndicates or networks," Rio said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 6.

The Bogor Resort Police also coordinated with the West Java Regional Police's Dirkrimum to deepen the illegal business run by suspect AZ.

"Of course, the article we are wearing may not end here, we will develop it if there are findings in the future where new criminal acts are found," he said.

In addition to arresting suspect AZ, the Bogor Police have already arrested two suspects who act as motorcycle jockeys and shooters, namely AR (17) and SI (19).

Rio explained that the incident that occurred on Saturday (3/8) night was initially a brawl between two suspects and seven witnesses who had been secured by the Bogor Police.

Then, there was a shooting by two suspects against his opponent but one of the targets was a motorcyclist with the initials MAF (22) who passed because he was mistaken for an enemy group.

The MAF victim suffered bleeding from gunshot wounds to the head, so he had to receive medical treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
