Benny Rhamdani Lies Claiming To Open Initials T To Bareskrim

JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani lied by saying that he had conveyed all the information about the person with the initials T to investigators.

Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro said Benny had never conveyed any information about the figure. Because, during the first examination which took place on July 29, investigators' questions have not yet led to the initials T.

"Yesterday when he came down or finished the examination, which last week (Benny) also stated that all information had been given by investigators," said Djuhandani to reporters, Monday, August 5.

"Earlier I asked again whether what was meant or could explain, the person concerned explained we don't know," he continued.

In fact, Benny had apologized for his statement. The Head of BP2MI also promised to apologize publicly in front of the media.

"Earlier, the person concerned said that we would apologize directly through the media but further please ask him," he said.

However, Benny has fulfilled his promise for now. Because, after the examination, he did not apologize before the media.

Some of the sentences that came out of his mouth were just requests for journalists to directly question the police about the figure T.

It is known, during the first examination, Benny did mention that all the information had been submitted to investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri.

In fact, his statement about the figure of T has been stated in the clarification report (BAK) signed by him.

"Anyway, who is T, whether he is the correct controller or not, I have put it in the minutes that I signed earlier in giving clarification to fellow investigators," said Benny at the time.

Back about today's examination, it is known that Benny Rhamdani has no evidence of the figure T whom he calls an online gambling controller or a criminal act of trafficking in persons (TPPO).

"There is no evidence, even the initials T cannot be mentioned by the person concerned," said Djuhandani.

During the examination, Benny said that the information on the figure of T was obtained from the Head of BP2MI Serang, who had died.

This information is also called different from before. Where, Benny stated that information about the figure T was obtained from victims of migrant workers.

"Now the information has been updated from Joko Purwanto's brother, who happened to be the head of BP2MI from Serang and is currently dead," said Djuhandani.
