The family of the late Abdul Muzakir (32), a resident of Lendang Nangka Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara who was shot dead by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, has sought attention from the company where the victim worked.
"Hopefully from the family of the company there will be condolences. Moreover, he (the victim) had a tragic accident while carrying out his work," said Head of Lendang Nangka Village Lalu Muhammad Isnaini when contacted from Mataram, Antara, Sunday, August 4.
Until now, he said, the victim's family had not been contacted by the company. Only a few of the victim's colleagues happen to have communicated by telephone.
According to Muhammad, the victim is known to work in a company that employs many people so that it is confirmed that he has a permit and there is an obligation to register employees as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants.
"He (the victim) also had a work accident, maybe he was registered as a participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan because this big company must have a permit and employ a lot of workers," he said.
Regarding the death of the victim, he said, the family had accepted it sincerely because it had become a provision from Allah SWT.
However, the family really hopes for attention from the government and the company. This is because the late Abdul Muzakir was the eldest of three children and became the backbone of the family.
The deceased is known to have worked in Papua Mountains since five years ago. He was recruited along with a number of residents of Lendang Nangka Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok, to work in wood processing.
"The deceased is still young and not married and is the backbone of the family because the first child of the couple Mushap and Mahnun. His father is old, around 65 years old, his mother is only at home, not working," he said.
Muhammad said that prior to the murder, Abdul Muzakir had communicated with his parents via a cell phone connection. He asked about the health condition of his father and mother and two siblings.
"But now, we and our families are receiving sad news and are now focusing on taking care of the nine days of the deceased. In fact, his parents cannot see his son for the last time because he was immediately buried in Yahukimo," he said.
Head of Operations for the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani said the KKB killed a driver and burned his truck in Masi Village, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
The incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 31, began when the victim Abdul Muzakir (32) who was driving a truck was about to pick up wood in Masi Village, while transporting 16 villagers.
