Anies' Relaxed Response To KIM Plus's Discourse: I Am The Flow Of Aja

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will respond to the discourse on forming the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus for the nomination of candidates for the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Ahead of the nomination of regional heads in the 2024 Pilkada, Anies admitted that he was more focused on absorbing the aspirations of the people, including the aspirations received by coalition parties who wanted to carry it in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Anyway, I just flowed. After all, it's about the citizens of Jakarta, the aspirations of the citizens of Jakarta. Just check with the DPW-DPW (regional leadership council) of all parties, what are their aspirations. It reflects their aspirations," said Anies in the CFD Sudirman-Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 4.

Anies admitted that he had indeed communicated with political parties, including the coalition party that carried Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election. However, Anies was reluctant to reveal what was in the discussion.

"I will definitely tell you after the program is ready to run. Even though there is communication with all, including with Gerindra friends, but later on. We'll just talk when it's right," explained Anies.

Anies also did not want to speculate about the constellation nomination that would develop if KIM Plus was formed to carry a cagub-cawagub in Jakarta.

"It's about the future, yes. What we can talk about is the past and the present. We'll see the future later," he added.

Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that there would be an Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) plus in the Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Elections (Pilgub), West Java (West Java), and Central Java (Central Java).

This opens the possibility of other parties outside KIM joining the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidate (cagub-cawagub) in the three regions.

However, Dasco was reluctant to mention in detail the political party that joined KIM in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

"In time, it will definitely be decided in one vote together by the Forward Indonesia Coalition Plus. There will be an Advanced Indonesia Coalition Plus later," said Dasco.

KIM is a coalition supporting the Elected President-Vice President Elected Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. The coalition consists of the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, Democratic Party, Crescent Star Party, PSI, Gelora Party, and Garuda Party.

So far, the majority of KIM's party members, especially those who have seats to carry regional head candidates, have not officially announced the governorial candidate they carry in Jakarta.
