Visit CFD Sudirman-Thamrin, Anies Called By Residents: Guard DKI 1!

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan visited the car free day (CFD) Sudirman-Thamrin area, Central Jakarta to exercise as well as greet the community this morning. He was accompanied by his wife, Fery Farhati.

Anies departed from his residence from the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta using the Jakarta MRT. Departing from Fatmawati Station, Anies arrived at Dukuh Atas MRT Station at around 07.10 WIB.

Anies' arrival was immediately greeted by residents who were also exercising. Wearing a t-shirt with a picture of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Anies greeted the residents and served a request for a group photo.

In the midst of a crowd of residents surrounding Anies, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta prayed for one of the residents to return to lead Jakarta for the next period.

"Pak Anies DKI 1! Guard DKI 1!" exclaimed a resident when approaching Anies in the CFD area, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 4.

Anies' journey from Dukuh Atas to the HI Roundabout stalled because residents who realized their presence kept coming.

For information, Anies is discussed to be promoted by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the National Awakening Party (PKB), and the NasDem Party. However, PKB has not issued a nomination recommendation for Anies to become the governor of DKI Jakarta. Likewise with the NasDem Party, even though it has announced that it will carry Anies.

Now, only the PKS Central Executive Board (DPP) has declared that it will support Anies as the governor of DKI Jakarta by pairing the Deputy Chairperson of the PKS Syuro Council Sohibul Iman as the cawagub.

However, PKB does not agree if Anies is paired with Sohibul. Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid said that many of his cadres had the same quality as Sohibul.
