JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD today. "Sister HGR and Brother AB have been present to fulfill the summons of the investigator concerned or both of them were asked for information in order to explain several procurement processes carried out in Semarang City," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 1.

Tessa said Ita was being investigated in her capacity as a witness. Meanwhile, she called Alwin the status of being examined.
