Ecstasy Courier Snatched In Front Of Central Jakarta District Court, Pinches 944 Ecstasy Items While Carrying A Motorcycle To Escape The Police

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Matro Police (Jakpus) arrested a man with the initials AM (34) who was a courier carrying 944 ecstasy pills. AM's arrest was carried out in front of the Central Jakarta District Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Gunung Sahari, Kemayoran.

The illicit pills with a total weight of 292.64 grams were sandwiched between the perpetrator's thighs while carrying a motorbike. This mode is used by the perpetrators in order to escape from surveillance by officers.

"The evidence is in the form of blue ecstasy totaling 944 points. The crime scene of the arrest took place on the side of the road in front of the Central Jakarta Court at 19.00 WIB," said Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police Resnarkoba, Kompol Indrawienny Panjiyoga during the release of the case at the Central Jakarta Police, Tuesday, March 23, as reported by Antara. .

The police got information about the circulation of ecstasy from the public. Subsequently, Central Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit personnel conducted an investigation.

After receiving sufficient information, on Saturday, February 27 at around 19.00 WIB, the team arrested the suspect AM on the side of the road in front of the Central Jakarta District Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Gunung Sahari Village, Kemayoran District.

Apart from ecstasy, the evidence obtained from the suspect, namely 1 black Yamaha X-Max motorcycle with police number (nopol) B 3452 UWF and 2 secular telephone units. The suspect is subject to Article 114 paragraph 2 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

In his confession, the suspect AM was about to bring the ecstasy to his house located in North Jakarta to then wait for further orders from his friend, F and take him to the intended location.

"The origin of the goods is being investigated to reveal who he took from whom and whose orders he received," said Indrawienny.
