As Chairman, Angela Tanoesoedibjo Signs Perindo Joins Prabowo-Gibran's Government

JAKARTA - Perindo Party DPP Daily Chair Angela Tanoesoedibjo hinted that Perindo would join the government of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

This was conveyed by Angela when delivering a political speech after being appointed general chairman by the General Chairperson of the Perindo Party DPP Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

"The Perindo Party, ladies and gentlemen, needs to continue working with the people, supporting prorakyat policies and the sustainability of government that can realize Indonesia's prosperity and unity as we all aspire to," said Angela at the closing ceremony of the Perindo National Working Meeting on Jalan Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday 31 July.

Angela admits that Perindo's struggle line so far has been to support the government. According to her, by supporting the government, political parties including Perindo can contribute greatly to improving people's welfare.

"Yes, so if we look at the party's struggle line, actually it is to support the government. If we dissect more deeply, so why is that? Because the only way to contribute big is to support the prograde policies issued by the government and that's what we will continue to do in the future," explained Angela.

Karena itu, kata Angela, sebagai ketum Perindo yang baru, dirinya berencanakan akan melakukan silaturahmi dengan pimpinan partai politik termasuk partai politik koalisi Prabowo-Gibran.

"Indeed, we have an intention to stay in touch with all political parties, including Gerindra, in this case, of course, for friendship and discussing other things, maybe that's all that was conveyed," said Angela.

Angela further said that the Perindo Party was built with the idea that the Indonesian people should be prosperous, without discriminating. According to him, development must be carried out inclusively, evenly and sustainably so that unity can be maintained in Indonesia's diversity.

Angela also targets that the Perindo Party can qualify for parliament in 2029. He emphasized that it has three years to work hard to win the Perindo Party to sit in Senayan.

"We only have three years to realize the transformation. We have to win the 2024 Pilkada. Do we agree? We have to strengthen the organization to the roots agree? We do a cadreization of agreement? We do data-based policies agreeing? We eliminate the distance between parties and the younger generation. We eliminate the distance between parties and the community," concluded Angela.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the Perindo Party DPP Hary Tanoesoedibjo appointed the Daily Chair of the Perindo Party DPP Angela Tanoesoedibjo to continue the party leadership. The statement was made by Hary Tanoe when delivering a political speech at the closing ceremony of the Perindo Party DPP Mukernas in Central Jakarta.

"I will also announce part of the transformation, namely I will assign Mba Angela Tanoesoedibjo to become chairman of the Perindo Party. We give applause, agree?" said Hary Tanoe to the applause of Perindo Party cadres.

Hary said that Angela's inauguration as chairman of the Perindo Party DPP will be held on October 8, 2024, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Perindo Party.

"Of course, in the transition as general chairman, we will hold another inauguration together, to coincide with Perindo's 10th birthday on October 8, 2024," concluded Hary.

The closing ceremony of the Perindo Mukernas was attended by a number of figures, such as the Daily Chairperson of the Gerindra DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad who represented the elected President Prabowo Subianto, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo, Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque Nasaruddin Umar and other leaders of political parties.
