Haniyeh was in Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the elected president Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, he met Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Pezeshkian on two separate occasions before attending the inauguration.
