Police Identify Finding Bodies Rotting In Rented Toilets In Tasikmalaya

The Tasikmalaya City Police are investigating the case of the discovery of a man's body whose condition has decomposed in the toilet of his rented house, Ciawi District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, Wednesday, July 31.

The Tasikmalaya City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Inafis team conducted an investigation of the crime scene to identify the victim and find out the cause of death.

"We received reports from residents, then coordinated with the Tasikmalaya City Police Inafis Team to conduct crime scene investigations and identify victims," said Head of Ciawi Police AKP Mahmud Darmana in Ciawi, confiscated by Antara.

The body was identified by residents on Wednesday morning after smelled an unpleasant odor at the rented house of Jalan Perjuangan, Sukamantri Village, Ciawi District, Tasikmalaya Regency.

The victim was identified, identified as Rudi Karyana (52), a resident of Gunamekar Village, Karangpawitan District, Garut Regency, who was first found in a supine position and has decomposed which is estimated to have died 3 days ago.

"It is estimated that he had died for 3 days because there was a witness who last saw the victim on Sunday," said the police chief.

AKP Mahmud conveyed the results of the crime scene as well as the statements of a number of witnesses that the daily victims sell dumplings, and have lived in the rented house for 1 year.

The police then took the victim's body to the dr. Soekarjo Tasikmalaya for further examination so that the facts of the cause of death could be revealed.

"Regarding the cause of death, we are working with the Tasikmalaya City Police Satreskrim to continue to investigate," he said.

The discovery of the corpse in the rented house received the attention of local people who witnessed the evacuation by the police.

Previously, the case of the discovery of a corpse in Tasikmalaya also occurred a day ago in the Cakrabuana forest area, Pagerageung District, Tasikmalaya, whose case is currently still under investigation to find out the cause of his death.
