JAKARTA - Hundreds of microtrans drivers broke down operating and held a demonstration in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, July 30. Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi was also asked to evaluate all Transjakarta performance.

The drivers felt that there was discrimination against the distribution of fleet absorption quotas that joined the JakLingko system to the payment of rupiah per kilometer from Transjakarta which was deemed incomparable.

From this problem, the City Citizens Forum (FAKTA) urges the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to evaluate the performance of the directors of PT Transjakarta.

"With the strike action, FAKTA asked the Governor's PJ to evaluate the total performance of Transjakarta management and take firm steps so that in the future there will be no more similar actions that harm Jaklingko users, due to the inability of Transjakarta management," said FAKTA Chairman Ary Subagyo in his statement, Wednesday, July 31.

Ary assessed that the non-operation of dozens of Microtrans routes had an impact on neglect of residents who needed Jak Lingko transportation services every day.

Thus, Transjakarta as a regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) is required to be responsible for the problems caused by its management.

"Transjakarta must be responsible for the negligence of passengers due to irregularities in managing public transportation in Jakarta due to discrimination against operators," said Ary.

Tuesday, July 30, hundreds of Microtrans drivers held a demonstration at the DKI Jakarta City Hall. They also brought fleets parked along Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. Congestion was inevitable.

Microtrans drivers demonstrated with a number of demands. One of them complained about the distribution of the Microtrans procurement quota as a substitute for regular fleets such as Metromini and angkot for partnering operators.

They considered that there was discrimination from Transjakarta in JakLingko's policy. Of the 11 partner operators, there is 1 operator that Transjakarta seems to have neglected because it gets the quota for absorption of the fleet at most to be operated compared to others.

Then, the Microtrans driver also felt that the payment of rupiah per kilometer of the fleet determined by Transjakarta was not commensurate. So, they do not get a salary equivalent to the UMP
