A total of 67 outstanding cultural actors who received the Indonesian Cultural Award (AKI), the Indonesian Music Award (AMI), and the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) will receive 3 programs protection from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, namely Work Accident Insurance (JKK), Death Security (JKM), and Old Age Security (JHT).
On this occasion, the rights were also given in the form of funds and scholarships to the heirs of one of the artists who died in a work accident, worth a total of IDR 221 million.
In his remarks, Hilmar said that cultural arts actors must be protected by the state. According to him, the profession of artists and cultural actors is the same as other professions that do not escape the risk of carrying out their work.
"I hope that this handover can increase awareness of cultural actors and employers to care and understand the importance of protecting social security so that they can continue to work without worry," said the Director General.
