AMBON - Maluku Regional Police (Polda) investigated a case of clashes between members of Brimob and Polantas that occurred on Sunday night. "Regarding the incident in Tual, it was true that there were clashes, but we have not dared to confirm between who and whom," said Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes Aries Aminullah in Ambon, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 29. Meanwhile, teams from the Maluku Regional Police and the Jakarta Police Headquarters are already at the location to investigate the prosecutor. "For the time being, the most important thing is that the situation in Tual is safe and under control," he said. Previously, gunfire broke out on Gajah Mada Street, Tual City, Maluku Province, Sunday night. In addition to causing damage to the Tual Police office due to being hit by bullets, two members were also reported to have been injured. The commotion between the police was recorded by residents and circulated widely on WhatsApp groups. In the video footage, it appears that a number of officers from the police are wearing full uniforms and weapons running towards a location. At the same time, repeated gunshots were heard. There were also several people wearing black and brown uniforms.
