KPK Urged To Investigate The Abuse Of Cak Imin's Authority Regarding Hajj Affairs

JAKARTA - The Law Enforcement Student Movement (GMPH) has demanded the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigate allegations of abuse of power by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin. He allegedly invited his wife, Rustini Murtadho, in the 2024 Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas) group.

"This is clearly a serious violation committed by Cak Imin. The KPK and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) must intervene to investigate this alleged irregularity immediately," said GMPH Coordinator Amri Loklomin to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 29.

Amri said that Rustini's participation in the group meant that there had been a violation. In addition, the alleged violation also occurred if Cak Imin's wife departed on the visa of the Hajj officer as used by the members of the team.

Therefore, the KPK is expected to move immediately. Do not let the alleged abuse of authority not be handled like the case that dragged Cak Imin's name at the KPK.

"We all know that Cak Imin has a series of cases of alleged corruption. However, the investigation seems to stagnate and even tends to intervene in political issues. The public understands," he said.

"So don't continue to be extended by political acrobatics that injure these people," continued Amri.

In addition, the alleged abuse by Cak Imin's wife was referred to by GMPH as the entrance to take care of the hajj quota dispute. "There is no problem with the Hajj Special Committee because apart from being constitutional, it is also a way to fix Hajj in the future," he said.

"But everyone must be careful to see the allegations of irregularities that exist. In the DPR, it turns out that there are many big problems that are urgently being investigated thoroughly," Amri concluded.
