The PDI-P faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has requested that the allocation of the health budget as well as road traffic and transportation in the 2023 APBD be audited by an independent accounting firm.
This was revealed by a member of the PDIP faction Sunggul Sirait in reading the general view of the faction towards accountability for the implementation of the APBD for the 2023 fiscal year.
"We ask for an independent audit to assess the use of this budget so that there is no misuse or ineffectiveness in its implementation," said Sunggul at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, July 29.
Sunggul explained that the factors that underlie PDIP demanded an independent audit. In the evaluation of public health programs, the realization of the budget was 2.81 trillion or 96.72 percent absorbed from the allocated Rp2.91 trillion.
However, the PDIP faction considers that this high realization figure needs to be reviewed more in terms of quality and effectiveness in the use of the budget.
"Has the allocation of funds really been used to improve health services that can be felt directly by the community? We hope that there will be clear reports regarding specific programs that have been implemented, such as improving health facilities, procuring medical devices, and training for health workers," explained Sunggul.
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono PDIP also collects performance indicators that show increased accessibility and quality of health services.
Meanwhile, in the road traffic and transportation program, the realization of the budget in 2023 is IDR 5.23 trillion or 92.02 percent of the budget of IDR 5.68 trillion.
Although the budget absorption is quite high, PDIP sees the need for a critical evaluation of the use of the budget, given the importance of this program for the mobility and welfare of the people of Jakarta.
"Has the allocation of funds really been used to improve traffic infrastructure and road transportation that can be felt directly by the community?" he said.
Sunggul emphasized that the realized budget must have a significant impact on improving the quality of traffic and road transportation.
PDIP, he continued, views that innovation in handling traffic and road transportation problems is still lacking.
"Although the large budget has been allocated, congestion is still a major problem in Jakarta. We ask the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to be more proactive in finding innovative and sustainable solutions," he added.
