Falling From A Motorbike, Depok Resident Youth Killed By Bus

JAKARTA - A teenager with the initials ARS (18) was found dead in a pathetic manner after being run over by a bus on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.

The resident of Tapos, Depok, West Java, is suspected of having been swayed while overtaking the bus and then falling from the motorbike he was driving.

"The victim died, the case was handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit," said Mampang Prapatan Police Chief, Kompol David Y Kanito when confirmed, Sunday, July 28.

Police Commissioner David further said that the incident began when the motorcycle with the number B 3195 EMO driven by the victim crossed Captain Tendean Street.

When he arrived near the Mampang Prapatan Post Office, the motorcyclist driven by ARS was suspected of being about to overtake the bus with number B 7438 BGA. However, the victim's motorbike was tilted.

The victim died at the scene after being involved in an accident. Then the victim's body was taken to Fatmawati Hospital for a post-mortem et repertum.

Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.
