Gibran Leaves Message For Solo Residents, Asks Residents To Take Care Of Their Heritage Infrastructure

SOLO - Former Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka who has been elected Vice President asked residents to maintain their heritage infrastructure while still leading Solo, one of which is Balekambang Park Surakarta.

"Please, Balekambang, who has changed, is well maintained, cleanliness is well maintained," he said at the welcoming event at Balekambang Solo Park, Central Java, as reported by Antara, Saturday, July 27.

He also asked that there should be no vandalism in public facilities in Solo City.

"Don't let the knick-knacks be stolen. Let's both bustle out new destinations in Solo," he said again.

Regarding infrastructure in the city of Solo, he also said, 17 have been done. In fact, some of them have been completed and inaugurated.

"These 17 priorities have not been fully completed, added 26 this year," he said.

Furthermore, with this development, Solo City will completely change and Solo will become a new metropolitan city but still cultured.

"This is an advantage of the city of Solo which is not owned by other, modern but still cultured cities," he also said.

Previously, a number of ornamental plants in Balekambang Park were damaged after the inauguration, Thursday (25/7). The damage to ornamental plants was allegedly due to being trampled on by thousands of visitors.

Related to this, the Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, said that damage due to use is commonplace and does not need to be exaggerated.

However, he still invited the whole community to participate in maintaining the beauty of Balekambang Park.

"It's a risk. It's better if it's damaged than if it's damaged, it's not done. We accept all of them," he also said.
