PAN Opens Opportunity To Carry Anies In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, The Condition Is That Zita Anjani Become A Cawagub

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) opens the opportunity to participate in carrying Anies Baswedan as a candidate for governor (cagub) in Jakarta 2024. The condition is that PAN cadre who is also Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Zita Anjani must be a candidate for deputy governor (cawagub) accompanying Anies.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of PAN, Yandri Susanto in response to NasDem's decision to officially declare Anies running in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"PAN does not rule out the possibility of joining Anies as well. But on condition that the deputy is from PAN, Zita Anjani," Yandri told reporters, Saturday, July 27.

Yandri promised the Cagub Decree (SK) for Anies to be issued immediately if he chose Zita as his cawagub. Otherwise, the daughter of the General Chair of PAN has the opportunity to be duetted with other candidates.

"PAN is confirming all of them. So if for example Anies takes Zita, the decree will immediately come out tomorrow. Directly our declaration. PAN is at the forefront of winning," said Yandri.

"If there is no common ground, then it is possible that PAN will raise an alternative candidate, yes it can be Jusuf Hamka, it can be Ahok, it can be another name. This means that DKI Jakarta is very dynamic," he added.

Furthermore, Yandri respects NasDem's political steps which have declared Anies to run again in the Jakarta Pilkada. "That is the right of each party," he said.

Yandri revealed that PAN had sent the Chairman of the Jakarta DPW, Eko Patrio, to communicate with Anies. In fact, he stressed, PAN had prepared a decree (SK) within hours if Anies agreed to appoint Zita Anjani to be the cawagub.

"I discussed with Mas Eko three days ago, Patrio as chairman of PAN DKI. To communicate with it. And in that communication, I asked Mas Eko to convey, if Mas Anies took Zita Anjani, his decree immediately came out. Within hours," he concluded.
