Report Of Profiteering Of Names For Bengkulu City Guard Stopped, Bawaslu: Not Fulfilling Requirements

BENGKULU - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has stopped the examination process of reports of support for candidates for the Mayor of Bengkulu for the individual route, Ariyono Gumay and Harialyyanto, because they do not fulfill the elements of alleged election violations.

"Untuk sampai tidak memenuhi syarat itu ada proses kajian dan kami (Bawaslu) saat melakukan proses kajian itu melibatkan atau asistihan dari pihak Gakumdu yang terdiri dari kejaksaan dan kepolisian," ujar Ketua Bawaslu Kota Bengkulu, Rahmat Hidayat, di Bengkulu, Rabu 24 Juli.

He mentioned that the decision was taken after his party clarified a number of parties and it was known that the report could not be continued.

"It was not fulfilled, I could not reveal the results of the study because it was an excluded document, but basically the results that we carried out regarding the clarification process we summoned all parties and have stated that it is indeed difficult to continue," he said.

Previously, Bawaslu had summoned the Bengkulu City General Election Commission (KPU) for clarification regarding the report on profiteering as support for the candidates for the Mayor of Bengkulu for the individual route Ariyono Gumay and Hariayyanto.

The summons of the KPU to clarify the existence of a name profiteering report as support for the candidate for the mayor of the individual route.

"We have summoned the reported party, the complainant including the witnesses included in the report. In this case, we summon the KPU to be questioned regarding the results of the silonkada at the KPU," said Rahmat.

He continued, when clarifying, his party asked for information from the Bengkulu City KPU regarding the results of administrative verification which was declared eligible (ms) for the candidate candidate pair.

"The deepening is focused on silon, because the one who inputs data from the candidate pair is not the KPU. This means that the KPU has the authority to verify administratively. At the KPU, what we ask (information) is why it passes or meets the requirements," he explained.

In addition, his party has also summoned five people regarding the report on profiteering of names reported to the Bengkulu Province Bawaslu and followed up by the Bengkulu City Bawaslu.
