2 Months, 42 Suspects From 30 Narcotics Cases Arrested In NTB

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) have identified 42 suspects from 30 narcotics trafficking cases that were revealed from June to July 24, 2024.

"Of the 42 suspects we have named, there are 14 of them are narcotics recidivist," said NTB Police Chief Inspector General Raden Umar Faroq at a press conference in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, July 25, which was confiscated by Antara.

The narcotics evidence confiscated from the disclosure of the case was 19 kilograms of marijuana, 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine and 6 pills of ecstasy.

Director of Drug Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) Polda NTB Kombes Pol Deddy Supriadi also conveyed that there were a number of prominent cases.

One of them, the delivery of 19 kilograms of marijuana packages from Cilacap, Central Java (Central Java). The case, which was revealed at the end of June 2024, has determined a man from Bandung with the initials IP.

"We arrested the suspect in his boarding house in the Cakranegara area, Mataram City. From the arrest of IP, 20 packages containing marijuana weighing 19 kilograms were confiscated," said Deddy.

Investigators named IP as a suspect by applying the allegations of Article 114 paragraph (2) and/or Article 111 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

After revealing the results of the action in the field, the NTB Police Chief and the main police officers and invited guests from cross-sectoral law enforcement destroyed narcotics evidence using an incinerator machine.
