Corruption Selection For P3K Revenue In Batu Rara Regency, North Sumatra, 5 ASN Arrested

The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati North Sumatra) detained five suspects for alleged corruption amounting to Rp. 2 billion in the selection of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in Batu Bara Regency for the 2023 fiscal year. "The team of public prosecutors (JPU) Pidsus Kejati North Sumatra, and Kejari Batu Bara detained five suspects from today until August 11, 2024 at the Tanjung Gusta Medan Detention Center," said North Sumatra Attorney General's Intelligence Division Yos A Tarigan, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 23. He explained that the detention of the five suspects was carried out after his party received the delegation of evidence and the suspect or stage two of the North Sumatra Police Ditreskrimsus Sub-Directorate investigators. The five suspects, namely F, are the younger brother of the former Regent of Batu Bara with the initials Z, then AH as the Head of the Batu Bara District Education Office, and DT as the Secretary of the Batu Bara District Education Office. Then RZ as the Head of the Strengthening Division of the Batu Bara District Education Office, and MD as the Head of the Personnel and Development Agency of the Batu Bara Regency Human Resources. "The amount of money was received in the selection of PPPK Batu Bara Regency around Rp2 billion, and the money was deposited in other government accounts (RPL) through the Batu Bara Kejari," he said. The five suspects were charged with Article 12 Letter E Jo Article 11 of the Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1e KUHPidana.

In the alleged fraud in the PPPK recruitment, F received Rp2 billion from AH and MD at the end of 2023 after the announcement of the results of the selection for PPPK recruitment. The money came from the PPPK selection participants who were asked by AH as the Head of the Batu Bara District Education Office with varying amounts ranging from tens of millions of rupiah to more than every participant.
