Denpasar City Government Doesn't Want A Beach Club In Sanur

Deputy Mayor of Denpasar Bali I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa stated that the local city government does not want a beach club in the Sanur tourist area, Denpasar, because it is feared that it will change the characteristics of tourism in the area.

"For the beach club, to this day, in principle, the mayor has given directions to be able to eliminate the beach club in Sanur as soon as possible, because it will change DNA from the characteristics of tourism in the Sanur area," said Arya Wibawa in Denpasar, Tuesday, July 23.

However, he said to this day, he and the Mayor of Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara do not yet know whether there are any submissions related to the beach club permit as discussed on social media.

"Because now the system is through OSS-Online Single Submission-. Local governments are very difficult to control, big investors immediately input through the OSS," he said after attending the Denpasar City DPRD Plenary Meeting.

Arya Wibawa admitted that the OSS system was one of the difficulties of the local government to find out, so he would immediately summon the Denpasar City Licensing Office to ask for data, whether or not there was an application for a permit for one of the entertainment venues.

"In principle, the mayor wants to maintain the Sanur area like DNA now. This means that if there is a tourism development in Sanur, we will upgrade it - increase the facilities," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

According to him, to improve facilities in the Sanur tourist area, the Mayor of Denpasar plans to install road lighting tools (APJ) and fix sidewalks.

"The guardian's plan is to install the APBJ, the sidewalk will be fixed. The guardian's desire is also to reduce congestion in Sanur," said Arya Wibawa.
