JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Syaiful Huda emphasized that his party is still confident that it will carry the Chairman of the Central Java PKB DPW, Muhammad Yusuf Chudlori alias Gus Yusuf in the Central Java gubernatorial election.
In fact, PKB has prepared a letter of recommendation for the investigation to Gus Yusuf to be signed by PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar. This belief is based on the position of PKB which received the second most votes in the 2024 Central Java DPRD Pileg.
"Central Java Gus Yusuf is advancing. We are the second winner in Central Java. We make sure our cadres advance," said Huda at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Tuesday, July 23.
Huda memastikan Gus Yusuf masih memiliki peluang kemenangan jika diusung di Pilkada Jateng pada tahun ini.
Because, based on the results of the latest survey, there are no candidates who have high electability, including Kaesang Pangarep and Ahmad Lutfi who are predicted as strong candidates to advance.
"The results of the Central Java survey have not at all had a significant figure with electability. If you refer to the last legislators of several survey institutions, Kaesang has only 7 percent, Pak Lutfi has only 6 percent, the rest are 3, there are 1, there are 2. So, today there is no best figure in Central Java," said Huda.
On the one hand, PKB is also still building communication with other political parties that have the opportunity to form a coalition. One of them is PDIP.
"PKB is the second winner there after PDIP. This means that I think the presentation of these 20 seats will also be a fatsun for other parties," said Huda.
For information, the Kompas Research and Development Survey Institute released the electability of figures for the Central Java Pilkada. As a result, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep is narrowly superior to the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi.
"Kaesang, who is also the son of President Joko Widodo, (in the first position) is 7 percent in the open answer model (top of mind)," according to the Kompas Research and Development survey.
Meanwhile, the electability of the Central Java Police Chief, Ahmad Luthfi, is in second place with 6.8 percent.
The position below Luthfi is occupied by former Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen with 3.2 percent, artist Raffi Ahmad 2.8 percent, Kendal Regent Dico Ganinduto 2.6 percent, former Central Java Governor Bibit Waluyo 2.4 percent, and former Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi 2 percent.
Meanwhile, a number of other figures whose electability was taken into account ahead of the Central Java Pilkada were the Chairman of the Central Java National Awakening Party DPW Gus Yusuf Chudlori 1.2 percent, the Chairman of the Central Java PDI-P DPD Bambang Wuryanto 1.2 percent, and the former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said 0.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the other names were 6 percent and those who did not serve or did not know were 64 percent.
The Kompas Research and Development Survey was held on 20-25 June 2024 involving 500 randomly selected respondents from 35 cities/regencies in Central Java. The survey was conducted with face-to-face interviews. The survey margin of error is at +/- 4.4 percent. With a confidence level of 95 percent.
