27 People Killed And Dozens Injured In Israeli Bombing In Khan Younis, Majority Children And Women

JAKARTA - At least 27 people were killed while dozens more were injured as a result of an Israeli attack on the eastern region of Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, Palestine, where most of the victims were children and women, according to local medical sources.

Israeli warplanes launched intense bombings in the Khan Younis region and its cities, after ordering residents to evacuate from there to Al-Mawasi in the west.

"The occupation forces did not give civilians time to evacuate, they even started carrying out the city's intense bombings, resulting in at least 27 people being killed and dozens injured", local sources said, cited from WAFA July 22.

Meanwhile, Nasser Medical Complex, located in Khan Younis, appealed to civilians to "immediately" donate blood in the interests of injured and sick people due to lack of blood.

This shortfall poses a serious threat to the lives of sick people and injuries given the ongoing massacres by the occupation forces against innocent people and civilians.

Separately, citing Reuters, the Israeli military called the evacuation order due to Palestinian militant attacks, including rockets launched from targeted areas in eastern Khan Younis. Evacuation orders do not include health agencies, Palestinians say.

Palestinians, the United Nations, and international aid agencies say there is no safe place in Gaza. Previously, dozens of Palestinians were killed as a result of Israeli attacks on the Al-Mawasi region designated as a humanitarian territory.

Gaza health authorities have confirmed that the death toll of Palestinians since the latest conflict broke out on October 7, 2023 has reached 38,983, while injured victims reached 89,727. The majority of victims were women and children.
