Solok Police Arrests Three Narcotics Abuse Perpetrators

JAKARTA - Resort Police (Polres) Solok Arosuka arrest three perpetrators of methamphetamine drug abuse in Jorong Pasa Nagari Koto Anau, Lembang Jaya District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra.

The Head of Solok Police, AKBP Azhar Nugroho, through the Iptu Narcotics Center Amin Nurrasyid in Arosuka, said Saturday that the three perpetrators, namely RM (28), S (24), A (51) were arrested at around 11.30 WIB.

"The three perpetrators who were successfully arrested today are residents of Lembang Jaya Subdistrict, Solok Regency, West Sumatra", said Azhar as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

The arrest started when a member of the Drug Crime Unit at the Solok Police received an order from the Head of Drugs to arrest a man with the initials H who was a fugitive in a drug case.

"Because the perpetrator often trades narcotics. After the identity of the perpetrator is known, the officers go straight to the perpetrator's house in Nagari Koto Anau", he said.

Not long after that, the Drug Crime Unit officer saw three people sitting in the kitchen of H's house, the perpetrator who was being targeted.

The three perpetrators were caught using narcotics of the methamphetamine type. At that time, the officers immediately made an arrest, then the officers carried out a body search.

During the search, the officers found methamphetamine (bong) suction device which contained the residue of the suspected methamphetamine-type narcotics, two skill units (electronic scales).

"Based on the results of the examination, the entire evidence belongs to H", he said.

The officers also found other evidence related to narcotics, and then one of the perpetrators named RM was interrogated by the officers.

"Questioning H's whereabouts, but RM admitted that H had left the house", he said.

Currently, all of H's evidence has been confiscated and taken to the Solok Police for further investigation.

"The perpetrator is charged under Article 132 paragraph 1 jo Article 114 paragraph 1 jo 112 paragraph 1 jo Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a with the threat of a minimum sentence of 6 years and a maximum of 12 years in prison", he said.
