JAKARTA - Toll road entrepreneur Jusuf Hamka officially received an instruction letter from the Golkar Party to run in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Deputy General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, revealed the consequences for Jusuf Hamka alias Babah Alun if he failed to carry out the party's instructions. Namely, it was canceled as a cagub or cawagub from the Golkar Party. However, if Jusuf Hamka succeeds in carrying out the instruction letter, then Golkar will issue a decree of support with his partner in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. "The instruction letter will then be continued if the process can be fulfilled, it will improve on the decree," Doli told reporters, Friday, July 19.

"If he is a candidate for regional head, his partner is a representative. If he is a candidate for deputy regional head, then the partner is the regional head. That will be issued a decree later," he continued. "Well, if you don't get anything, you won't be a candidate, right," he said again.

Doli said Golkar would create a new instruction letter for cadres who are more potential to be nominated, or a decree for candidates who deserve to be promoted as cagub or cawagub. But usually, he said, whoever the cadre is given the instruction will definitely advance in the election.
