Prabowo Often Asked To Sit Next To Jokowi At The Meeting: It Turns Out That He Was Trained Not To Be Surprised After Being Inaugurated

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia and President-elect 2024-2029 Prabowo Subianto expressed his impression that he was being coached by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) before being officially inaugurated as president

He revealed this while attending the Geoportal One Map 2.0 and White Paper OMP Beyond 2024 events, representing Jokowi in St. Regis, South Jakarta, Thursday afternoon, July 18.

On that occasion, Prabowo gave a speech and was given notes and points by Jokowi to convey.

"I was instructed to represent the President, Mr. Joko Widodo and in this case, what I said was actually a note from him (Jokowi)," said Prabowo.

Prabowo said this because he was being trained by Jokowi so he would not be surprised when he took office after being inaugurated.

"I think the President is actually training me so that later he won't be too surprised after I was sworn in, God willing," Prabowo said.

In addition, Prabowo also considered that Jokowi's leadership figure was a good leader and should be imitated because he had prepared a replacement.

"That's how he is one of the leadership lessons we receive is a leader who is willing, second, a leader who prepares a replacement," he continued.

Prabowo also admitted that recently President Jokowi has often been asked to participate in several important work meetings with the Minister of the Jokowi Cabinet and even sat near President Jokowi.

"So, this is how I feel, he (Jokowi) is now almost all cabinet meetings, I am included and sitting next to the current President," said Prabowo.
