Golkar Will Hand Over Bobby Nasution-Surya's Support Decree In The North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party issued a Decree (SK) for support or recommendations for 10 pairs of candidates for governor (cagub) and candidates for deputy governor (cawagub) who will fight in the 2024 Pilkada.

One of them is for the North Sumatra gubernatorial election that carries the Bobby Nasution-Surya pair.

However, the Golkar Party has not submitted the recommendation letter directly to the appointed cagub and cawagub.

North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution said the decision letter (SK) for support from the Golkar Party would be handed over by General Chair Airlangga Hartarto tomorrow afternoon at the headquarters of the banyan party.

"Alhamdulillah, it has been submitted, later convey it for the submission of recommendations. Earlier it was confirmed for the submission of recommendations but the time will be tomorrow, in the afternoon it will also be handed over by General Chair Airlangga," said Bobby at the Golkar DPP office, Slipi, Jakarta, Thursday, July 18.

Bobby then revealed that his presence at the Golkar office was just a visit to get information regarding the submission of the decree.

"This is a lattice," he said.

Regarding representatives, Bobby is willing to be paired with Surya, who currently serves as the Regent of Asahan.

"Earlier it was conveyed that my recommendation was Mr. Surya, the deputy governor of North Sumatra," he said.

Bobby said the Gerindra Party had also discussed and confirmed Surya as the cawagub. In fact, he said, the Bobby-Surya duo had also been stationed to other political parties.

"We have also communicated other parties," said President Jokowi's son-in-law.

When asked about PDIP, Bobby said that his former party could carry the Paslon itself for the North Sumatra gubernatorial election. So it is certain that he will not fight the empty box.

"Yes, I say that PDIP can carry its own in North Sumatra, enough seats to carry it yourself. For the candidate pair issue, we can't comment, depending on the PDIP itself," he concluded.
