JAKARTA - German police have arrested a US man suspected of stalking Taylor Swift and threatening Swift and her partner on social media.
The 34-year-old man came to Taylor Swif's pop star mega concert in the city of Gelsenkirchen. The perpetrator was later detained at the point of control entering the venue before the concert on Wednesday, July 17, after an initial investigation into the alleged perpetrator posed a threat, police said.
Reported by Reuters on Thursday, July 18, the perpetrator received the spotlight by making threats to Swift and her partner, Taylor Kelce, online. The police did not explain the threats posed by the perpetrators, but neither the singer nor the concert audience were in any danger.
The court ordered the man to be detained until Saturday this week.
