TNGR Investigate Tree Stretching Activities In Rinjani Area

The Gunung Rinjani National Park Center (TNGR) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province together with law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation related to illegal logging activities (illegal logging) in the Mount Rinjani area.

"Officers have begun to carry out an investigation into cases of illegal logging activities found in the forest area of Mount Rinjani," said Head of the West Nusa Tenggara TNGR, Yarman, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 18.

To ensure that illegal logging activities are based on reports from residents, his party has carried out patrols and at logging locations, the Semokan Ruak forest route, Batu Rakit Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency which is included in the management area of the Senaru SPTN Region II TNGR.

"We have painted at the location," he said.

Based on the results of the identification by the team at the illegal logging site, the type of tree that was cut down was a tree with a tree diameter of 60 centimeters.

"In addition, the team also found 5 processed logs at the logging site," he said.

With this activity, his party urges the public to jointly preserve the environment by reforestation and not logging that can damage the environmental sustainability ecosystem.

"There is adequacy in this world for human needs, but not for human greed. Let's keep this forest sustainable," he said.

Previously, TNGR officers also found that there was a hunting activity for animals protected by Indonesian native deer living in the Mount Rinjani area.
